The Educational Company of Ireland (Edco), Ireland’s leading educational publisher, wishes to recruit an experienced Educational Sales Representative for the Dublin region. Reporting to the Sales & Marketing Manager the position would involve promoting the company’s range of primary and post primary textbooks, exam papers, revision materials and our full range of e-books and e-learning resources in schools.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
The Sales Representative responsibilities include:
- account management of all schools in the territory
- building and maintaining relationships
- educating and assisting customers by helping them understand the benefits and value proposition of our products
- achieving set sales targets
- growing product market share
- analysis of current market conditions and competitor information
- participation required at events held on weekends and/or weekday evenings.
Key Skills and Requirements
The ideal candidate should demonstrate:
- a high level of skill in areas of communication and relationship building
- demonstrate excellent presentation and customer service skills
- efficiency and be capable of working individually and as part of a team
- be target orientated with similar experience with a proven track record
- an interest in Education and be tech savvy
- strong organisational, ability to prioritise tasks and good time management skills
- a proven ability to multi-task
- knowledge of technology and ICT including the basics of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
Key requirements:
- sales experience, with a proven track record, is essential, and especially advantageous if in the area of educational publishing
- past experience in exceeding targets
- full driving licence
- flexible with work hours and travel
- Excellent communication skills
· Energy, drive and ambition; ability to handle challenges and drive to succeed
