My Learner ID is a new and innovative programme that teaches children ‘how to learn’ and helps track their learning progress. The programme was written and
developed, in Ireland, by Dr. Suzanne Parkinson, Developmental &
Educational Psychologist. My Learner ID is a timely, unique and practical
programme, which provides a logical and developmentally
appropriate framework to support children in becoming learners and
promoting their voice as the learner
My Learner ID supports numerous Statements of Highly Effective Practice from the School Self Evaluation (SSE): ‘Looking at Our Schools 2016’ policy document and provides a useful and practical framework for operationalising SSE. It highlights the importance of considering the voice of the child in the process of learning and the need to support them on their journey.
